Hypnotherapy & Mind Coaching
A different way of understanding yourself, changing old patterns and creating lasting change.
Perhaps you know what you want to change, but somehow find yourself repeating the same thoughts, behaviours or patterns.
You may understand logically that you are safe, capable or deserving of something different, yet another part of you seems to keep you stuck.
This is where clinical hypnotherapy and mind coaching can help.
Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind - the part of your mind involved in habits, automatic responses, emotional patterns and learned associations. By creating a deeply relaxed, focused state, we can begin to explore and change some of the patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Mind coaching brings awareness, practical tools and intentional thinking alongside this work, helping you build new ways of responding in everyday life.
Your free consultation
Before booking a session, I offer a free consultation by telephone or video call.
This is an opportunity for us to meet, for you to tell me what you would like help with and for me to understand what is happening for you.
We can explore what you would like to change, what may be maintaining the pattern and what approach is likely to be most helpful.
It is also a chance for you to ask questions, understand how hypnotherapy works and decide whether I am the right person to support you.
There is absolutely no obligation to book.
What happens during a session?
Every session is individualised to you.
We begin by talking through how things have been since your previous session, what you have noticed and what you would like to focus on.
I may use a combination of coaching, therapeutic conversation, relaxation, visualisation, guided imagery, hypnotic suggestions, NLP-based techniques and other appropriate approaches depending on your individual needs.
During hypnosis, you remain awake, aware and in control.
Hypnosis isn't being unconscious or giving your control to somebody else. You don't have to reveal anything you don't want to reveal, and you cannot be made to do something against your values or wishes.
Think of it more like entering a state of deeply focused attention - similar to becoming absorbed in a book, film or daydream.
You are always in control.
Why commit to a programme of sessions?
Change doesn't usually happen because of one conversation.
Our brains are constantly learning from our experiences, thoughts, emotions and behaviours. This ability to adapt and create new neural connections is known as neuroplasticity.
The more we repeatedly practise a new way of thinking, feeling or responding, the more familiar that pathway can become.
That is why I often recommend working together through a block of sessions, rather than viewing each appointment as an isolated experience.
A programme gives us the opportunity to:
Understand where unhelpful patterns may have originated
Identify the beliefs and thought patterns keeping them in place
Create new associations and responses
Practise and reinforce new behaviours
Build confidence and self-awareness
Review your progress and adapt the work as you change
Give your brain time and repetition to reinforce new pathways
The aim isn't simply to feel different for an hour. It is to help you create changes that you can continue to practise and strengthen between sessions.
Your personalised recording
Every session includes a personalised recording for you to listen to between appointments.
Your recording is created specifically around the work we have done together and the changes you want to make.
Listening regularly gives you another opportunity to reinforce the positive suggestions, imagery and beliefs we have worked on - helping you continue the process of change outside our sessions.
What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy and mind coaching can be helpful for a wide range of issues, particularly those involving thoughts, emotions, habits and learned responses.
People often seek support with things such as:
Anxiety, worry and overthinking
Confidence and self-esteem
Fears and phobias
Stress and overwhelm
Habits and unwanted behaviours
Procrastination and motivation
Sleep and relaxation
Public speaking and performance confidence
Fear of flying or driving
Emotional eating and weight-management goals
Smoking and other habits
Limiting beliefs and negative self-talk
Life transitions and periods of change
Building healthier routines and behaviours
Feeling stuck in repetitive patterns
It can also be particularly valuable when you understand what you want to change but can't seem to make that change stick.
Who can it help?
There is no particular type of person who needs to be "good" at hypnosis.
You don't need to be spiritual, highly imaginative or able to meditate.
If you can listen, focus your attention and allow yourself to become absorbed in an experience, you can generally experience hypnosis.
Most importantly, you don't need to believe in hypnosis for it to be useful. You simply need to be open to exploring a different way of working with your mind.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
For most people, hypnosis is a gentle and well-tolerated experience.
You remain aware of your surroundings and in control throughout the session. You can speak, move, open your eyes or stop the process at any time.
I work within appropriate professional and ethical boundaries and will always discuss your circumstances with you before beginning therapeutic work.
Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical care, psychiatric treatment or other appropriate healthcare. Where necessary, I may recommend that you speak with your GP or another suitably qualified healthcare professional.
Your wellbeing comes first.
Your journey, your pace
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to change.
Your experiences, history, beliefs and goals are unique to you, so your sessions will be too.
My role isn't to tell you who you should be.
It's to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and give you the tools to begin creating something different.
Your past may help explain you, but it doesn't have to define you.
If you're ready to explore what could change, start with a free, no-obligation consultation. Let's talk about where you are now, where you'd like to be and how I may be able to help you get there. Book direct below or contact me in the contact section to arrange your free assessment.
